Disobedient Geometry

The walkthrough

The network, operated.

A recording of the Phase 0 console doing real work: a constellation scaled up, contact windows rebuilding around it, a design saved and reopened, and the link rule tightened until the numbers stop flattering us. Every figure on screen is computed by the orbital simulator as it runs.

The live console is shared on request. You will be asked for an access code.

Recorded from the simulator described in Phase 0 of the roadmap. Orbits, contact windows and key rates are computed, not illustrated.

The product suite

Four segments. One key fabric.

Four segments of one network, each with the software that runs it: the space link, the metro rings, the fabric that pools their keys, and the record a certifier reads.

Simulated telemetry
01SKYKEY

A satellite that never holds the key.

A compact LEO payload generates entangled photon pairs and shares them both ways. Ground terminals acquire the pass, track it, and take keys for as long as the link budget allows.

Pass operations

  1. 1The payload generates entangled pairs in orbit, holding nothing
  2. 2The terminal acquires at horizon and tracks through the pass
  3. 3Keys land with elevation, loss and error rate logged per block
02GRIDKEY

No relay that has to be trusted.

Metro rings run measurement device independent QKD over dark fibre between city nodes, closing the detector side channels that first generation networks left open.

03Key fabric

Quantum where there is a link. Safe everywhere else.

One key management layer pools quantum keys while links are up and carries the same endpoints on post quantum keys when none exists. Security never drops, only the source changes.

Pool operations

  1. 1Quantum keys fill each pool while a link is up
  2. 2Post quantum keys carry the pool when no link reaches the site
  3. 3Every endpoint draws from one fabric, through one interface
04Provenance

Every key, traceable to the photons that made it.

Per key records of the source link, the error rate at generation, the consuming application and the moment of delivery. This is the chain a certifier replays.

Certifier view

  1. 1Each key records the link that produced it and its error rate
  2. 2Consumption is logged against the application that drew it
  3. 3A certifier can replay the whole chain, key by key

Values are generated by the simulator described in Phase 0 of the roadmap. Key delivery interfaces follow ETSI GS QKD 014.
